Caves 59 kilometers Jalgaon Railway station ( Delhi - Mumbai, Rail line Central railways, India); 104 kilometers Aurangabad (From Ellora Caves 100 Kilometers).The Ajanta Caves carved 2nd century BC horseshoe-shaped cliff Waghora River. They Buddhist monks prayer halls (chaitya grihas) monasteries (viharas) centuries, abruptly abandoned. They fell oblivion rediscovered 1819.
